New Worship Schedule at Hope
Beginning on Sunday, September 11th we will start our new worship schedule with one service beginning at 9:00 am, followed by the education hour and fellowship hour. The coffee will be on as early as 8:30, however, so come and enjoy a cup of coffee before and/or after worship on Sunday mornings. The education hour will begin following the service at 10:15 am. Then, beginning Saturday, September 17th we will begin our Saturday worship at 5:00 pm. This service will be held in the fellowship hall and is “worship in circles, not rows.” Instead of the traditional service of members sitting in pews being led by the pastor, this service will involve participation at some level for those in attendance.
Annual Meeting is January 29th
The annual meeting of Hope's congregation will be on Sunday, January
29th at 11:30 am. We will also be approving changes made to our
by-laws. It will be held in the fellowship hall and a light lunch brunch will
be served at 10:15 am. Reports from the boards will be presented, and
new council members will be elected as well as other ministry leaders.
Members of the congregation will also have the opportunity to be heard.
Boards are asked to have their reports into the church office no later
than JANUARY 8th (they can be dropped off, faxed to 492-6884 or emailed to
office@hope-jordan.org).
Church Assessment Tool Survey
January 15th-February 6th
We are inviting our members to complete the Church Assessment Tool, an online instrument that will
help our leaders gauge our strengths, vitality and inclinations of Hope Lutheran Church. The
information gathered will help our Macedonia Team and our leaders as they think strategically about
our future. Beginning on January 15th you will have the chance to answer questions that will
provide this important data, and we are encouraging everyone who is eligible to participate.
An Authentication Letter will be mailed to all of our members, ages 16 and older, with instructions on
how to complete the survey. For those who do not have access to the internet at home, a station
will be set-up at the church, and paper copies will also be made available. If you have any
questions, need to make arrangements to use the computer station at Hope, or need a paper copy
