Habitat for Humanity Home in Jordan
July 12th -16th
Hope is joining forces with St. John’s Catholic church to work on the Habitat for
Humanity home here in Jordan on Hope Avenue. We have committed to the
week of July 12-16, and will need 18 adult volunteers a day, as well as food and
beverages for each day. As a part of our sponsorship we also pledged to raise $6,000 to cover the
costs of the build for the week. To raise the money we are selling raffle tickets for $5 (or $20 for
five). You can win a 32” Flat Screen TV, DVD Player and Netflix Certificate!! Thank you to
Hometown Bank of Jordan for donating this prize! Tickets are available at Hope and St. John’s on
Sunday mornings, or you can call the office at (952) 492-2099. A free-will offering is also being
collected on July 4th and 11th during worship.
Garage Sale August 19th—21st
Start cleaning those closets! We are now accepting donations for the
sale. If you have gently used items that you would like to give to Hope,
please bring them to the youth room downstairs at Hope. We will gladly
accept your clean, usable furniture, but we are NOT able to take any
televisions, computers or exercise equipment. This year the proceeds will help some of our kids
attend camp. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jane Nash at 492-492-2059.
Proceeds from this sale will support our youth programs this summer.
It’s that time of year again. Can you help our Trustees take care of the lawn around Hope? You will need your own equipment (usually one
rider and one push mower). There is a sign-up
sheet on a poster in the narthex, or you can call
the church office at 952-492-2099.
