Adult Education Sunday Mornings
Book Study: "Love Wins: A Book About Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived," by Rob Bell.
Saturdays at 5:00 (during the Saturday worship hour)
Sundays at 10:15 (during Adult Forum)

Join us this month as we read this incredible book by pastor Rob Bell, in which he addresses the Christian struggle to reconcile God's love with God's judgment. Are the stories we have been taught about heaven and hell consistent with what the Bible teaches? What did Jesus really mean when he talked about salvation? Did God create billions of people, only to have some go to heaven and the rest consigned to suffer for eternity? Is this really "Good News"? Please come and participate in what Pastor Bell calls " . . . the ancient, ongoing discussion surrounding the resurrected Jesus in all
its vibrant, diverse, messy, multi-voiced complexity."

A limited number of books are available in the church office for $16, or you can find one on your own from the library, book store or download on Kindle or Nook. We'll discuss two chapters each week (the book is very easy and quick to read).

January 7/8: Preface Millions of Us, Ch.1 What About the Flat Tire?, Chapter 2 Here is the New There
January 14/15: Chapter 3 Hell, Chapter 4 Does God Get What God Wants?
January 21/22: Chapter 5 Dying to Live, Chapter 6 There Are Rocks Everywhere
January 28/29 Chapter 7 The Good News is Better Than That, Chapter 8 The End is Here

"No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven."
Philippians 3:13-14
