Core values - Fellowship
We value relationships of mutual support, challenge, and encouragement.
Word and sacrament and prayer are the very heart of our life together in the body of Christ. These are the center of our gatherings. Transformation of our hearts turning us outward to others in love is what happens as we hear God’s Word and practice God’s presence in prayer. We do this not alone, but in community. We are the body of Christ together on a journey toward faithfulness.
We all need to be supported in our weakness, and we need to support others. We need to be challenged and held accountable sometimes, and we need to challenge others.
We need to know our brothers and sisters in this faith community, and we need to be known. Jesus is it work in and through our relationships!
Here are a couple of new opportunities for gathering to worship and reflect together:
Hope Evening Prayer starting September 14th at 8:00 p.m.
I will lead us in services evening prayer on the second Monday of each month. The services will be about 45 minutes of singing and prayerful reflection. This won’t be a preaching or Holy Communion service~ just singing, scripture readings and prayer. We will use elements of a new evening prayer service called “Hope Evening Prayer,” and Holden “Evening Prayer” along with some traditional evening hymns.
Consider making this worship experience part of your devotional life.
